Frequently Asked Questions

A few common questions to help you feel more comfortable and informed before getting started.

Neurodiversity-Affirming Care

Not at all. Whether you have a formal diagnosis, are self-identified, or are simply exploring why your brain works differently, you are welcome here. My focus isn’t on 'fixing' a label—it’s about collaborating with you to build a life that honors your unique processing style, sensory needs, and strengths.

Language & Cultural Safety

Absolutely. Language is deeply tied to our emotions. If you find it easier to express a feeling in Punjabi or want to share a story in Hindi, please do. We can move between languages in whatever way feels most natural to you.

Trauma-Informed Care

Traditional therapy often focuses on what is wrong, while trauma-informed care looks at what happened to you. We move at your pace—never pushing you into difficult memories before you're ready. The focus is on helping you feel safe, grounded, and in control.

Caregiver Burnout

That guilt is very common. Many caregivers feel they must always be 'on,' but you can’t pour from an empty cup. These sessions aren’t just self-care—they’re a strategic space to help you regain clarity and energy so you can support others without losing yourself.

Getting Started

It’s completely normal to feel nervous. The first session is just a relaxed conversation to see if we’re a good fit. We’ll talk about what’s been on your mind and what you’d like to change. You don’t need to have everything figured out—I’ll guide the conversation gently.
